#364 Computer hangs while entering password at boot time
I bought a brand new laptop (brand Venom) and encrypted the system volume. When it reboots to do the test, the password prompt comes up ok. However after a few seconds, usually not enough to enter the whole password, the screen hangs and is no longer responsive to the keyboard. I then have to do a hard shut down to reboot. Sometimes it is responsive for up to half a minute, long enough to enter the whole password, but it always hangs eventually. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Is it likely to be something related to the specific hardware?
