Ever since the most recent patch Tuesday (Sept 10, 2019) Security updates for Windows 7 64-bit SP1, VeraCrypt no longer works with Windows. It somehow corrupts the bootsector in such a way even all of the recovery options do not work, There is NO way to recover the disk, and no options or methods of the rescure disk (VC's or Windows') work. Perma-decrypting the disk does not work either as VC will report every single sector on the disk is corrupt/bad. I have been able to reproduce this bug on several different disks so far.
Upon reinstalling everything and trying to install VC again, I cannot pass the initial System Encryption Pretest stage. The same problem occurs, an infinite Booting... message. LUCKILY I can reboot, Press ESC on my keyboard, and still get into Windows.
If it matters any, I used Twofish and SHA256 both times for my full system encryption.
I am not sure how to proceed from here anymore.
I can now confirm through testing that AES + RIPEMD160 works and Twofish + SHA256 does not work anymore for the boot track.
