I am running Windows Ten Pro 64.

For some reason my Sandisk Ultra USB 3.0 32GB will not decrypt.
Its the whole drive that was encrypted I think.

Its stopped working in VeraCrypt 1.26.7 it says **VeraCrypt not responding.

I have tried reinstalling V.C. but still get same error.

    Any ideas thanks?

    Thanks

Since you stated it stopped working when using 1.26.7 version, have you tried uninstalling 1.26.7 and install using the 1.25.9 version to see if you are able to mount the volume?

If the volume mounts using the 1.25.9 version, this issue is per the Release Notes, version 1.26 has removed support for TrueCrypt Mode, the RIPEMD-160 hash algorithm and the GOST89 encryption algorithm.

    See this How To thread.

Sorry not sure what do after reading the structions in the links above. It says: You need to format the Disk in G: Diver before you can use it. The is no letter G listed in the Drives in V.C. though. Its showing in Device Manager and G: on My PC.

Since you believe that you performed a disk encryption, Windows has assigned the drive letter G to this thumb drive.

You need to open Windows "Create and format hard disk partitions", select the G drive and remove the Windows G letter assignment.

You may need to mount the volume in VeraCrypt using the option for embedded backup header since Windows may have initialized the drive which would damage the primary VeraCrypt header.
