I have been using Veracrypt for years without problems, and days ago while I was trying to mount a veracrypt file container, which I mounted before without problems countless times, I get the following error:
Bad file descriptor
VeraCrypt::CoreService::StartElevated:517
Any tips on how to solve the problem?
EDIT: The problem is solved
I will request the admin to remove this topic.
The error was due linux wasn't able to find localhost machine name.
It was fixed by modifing /etc/hosts
Thank you

Please do NOT remove this message - it just helped me with the same issue. (In my case, a running VPN connection was causing the problem - stopped it, tried another mount, successfully this time - started VPN again.)
