I am using VeraCrypt 1.0f-1. I have a memory stick that is encrypted. It was working fine and now when I mount it I get an error message when trying to access the drive. It says "This volume does not contain a recognized file system. Please make sure that all required file system drivers are loaded and that the volume is not corrupted".

I have tried on multiple computers with the same issue. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The error message you indicate comes from Windows not VeraCrypt and it indicates that the filesystem is corrupted and it is not recognized by Windows.
As you can imagine, this is not caused by VeraCrypt but rather by a corruption of the content of the memory stick. Actually, this happens often when the stick is not removed safely, either manually or because of a power loss.
In the following article, you will find extensive information about this type of error with USB sticks and disks that might be helpful even though it doesn't talk specifically about encryption: http://html5.litten.com/updated-how-to-fix-external-disk-drive-suddenly-became-raw/

Also, the follwing link talks about this specific error in case of TrueCrypt which also applied to VeraCrypt: http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/Recover_a_TrueCrypt_Volume

    Another link: http://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/truecrypt-volume-corrupted-non-accessible.337041/

Most procedures involve using tools like TestDisk or WinHex. Be aware that any fix procedure should be applied to the mounted volume, not the physical drive.

Anyway, one should be very careful when using removable media for disk encryption since they are very sensitive to unsafe removal and power losses.
