After installing Win11 cumulative update for ver 24H2 this past Tuesday Verycrypt stopped working properly. When i mount a Veracrypt encrypted drive the dialog box just keeps going....never shows the drive is mounted. I can't close Veracrypt without going to task manager and ending the task. However, when i reopen Veracrypt after i have closed it, it shows the drive is mounted and I can use the drive normally. I only have Win 11 installed. I encrypt the system disk and the system boots without any issues.
I was using version 17 so updated to version 20, but same exact issue. I also tried turning off the wait message dialog as suggested in a post, but this had no impact. I also updated all of the drivers from the motherboard manufacturer (Gigabyte). Nothing has changed on the system (HW or SW) over the past month - other than the Microsoft update which is when Veracrypt stopped working correctly. (Other than the driver updates I did AFTER Veracrypt stopped working correctly.)
So I reloaded windows from scratch (what a hassle) and still the issue persists. BTW, I built the PC myself and it has been running Veracrypt for about 4 years without any issues. The configuration includes:
Gigabyte z390
Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz
64G Ram
NVIDIA 2080 video card
Drivers are all up to date.
Any thoughts on how to resolve this?
