... on my laptop , and of course when Windows starts I logically get error messages done that Veracrypt is not yet launched, the password not yet entered, and the partition not mounted, It's a second SSD disk .
"Location is not available" for the Document folder, for Desktop, Pictures, Videos folders, and so on.
Does someone knows a trick to avoid that?
I also see that Win task bar lose all the icons, quite an annoyingly.
Of course once the partition mounted, with the right letter, everything works find again; except the taskbar.
I' m wondering where are located the icon settings. Certainly on one of the folders located on my encrypted partition.
I could move back the accurate file or folder to C:/, but which one?

I chose to not encrypt the whole system.
It's not a huge issue but that's it
Another little question : how to not lose the taskbar icons?

Pour le problème des icones de la barre des taches la solution que j'utilise
est de copier les raccourcis et icones des applications situées sur le 2 ème disque dans un répertoire sur le disque C: et de mettre ces copies dans la barre des taches

Pour les messages je ne peut t'aider car dans le même situation je n'ai aucun message au démarrage

For the problem of the taskbar icons the solution I use
is to copy the shortcuts and icons of the applications located on the 2nd disk in a directory on the C: disk and to put these copies in the taskbar

For the messages I cannot help you because in the same situation I have no message at startup

Oui j'ai trouvé la même solution que toi. J' ai remis les dossiers sur le disque C:
J'ai aussi testé Bitlocker de Microsoft en mettant mon Win11 à jour vers la version pro
la solution me convient. Je continu d'utiliser Veracrypt pour un conteneur dans lequel je place qq fichiers persos dont je mets une copie sur un cloud.
je me suis bcp documenté sur les deux outils je pense avoir bien compris les avantages et inconvénients des deux.
