Decryption stuck at "finalizing"

I made this thread some weeks ago where I accidentally formatted an encrypted external hard drive and wanted to recover my files.

I tried restoring the header and it worked, but when i tried to mount it it worked but when i opened the container, it said it wasnt a file recognized by the system or something. I then tried to decrypted it and when it completed it got stuck at "finalizing" as you can see in the image. It's been like that for several hours and there is hard drive activity in the thing, it shows in the resource monitor.
Is it salvageable? What's going on?

I let it run for several hours and it never got out of "finalizing". Not sure what to do now.
