i tried removing the encryption from one of my volumes and get an error that says my password is incorrect (see attached screenshot) even though it is correct. i use the same password to mount the volume so i know it works, so the problem must be something else. can anyone please help me? thanks.

one more thing: would a rescue disk be able to fix this? i used to have a rescue disk, but i lost it. i can't make a new one since my current system drive isn't encrypted (only my secondary drive is currently encrypted, and that's the one i'm trying to decrypt). can i still make a rescue disk? i still have the password (which works) so i don't see why it won't let me decrypt it.

    Hello,
    I think about one thing
when you try to decrypt volume you are not at boot time and keyboard layout is from your installed system language
at boot time keyboard is US one, so typing good password at boot time may be give différent resulting keystrokes after boot ,so now passwword appear wrong
    hope this help

thanks, but the password works in windows when i mount the volumes. so i don't think that's the issue.

    Hello,
i have tested decrypt of non system volume , with no problem
are you using last release 1.24 update 7 of veracrypt ? and have you checked volume path is good ( \Device\Harddiskx\Partitiony) ?
I don't see another way of search sorry
