Hello.

I'm about to try VeraCrypt, but I have some doubts regarding file security =).

I want to install veracrypt on a single SSD drive where the Operating System is and then or before installing verycrypt I have to do some configuration to have greater protection of the files than any third party by any means or programs such as file recovery can achieve get or retrieve files?

An example.
After installing verycript to the drive with the operating system, a person can steal the ssd disk and take it to another computer where he will want to obtain information from the ssd, files, documents etc.
My doubts...

  • can you easily get the data just by putting the ssd on another computer?
  • If you can't get it in the above way, can you get the data after formatting the ssd and using some file recovery program after formatting?

are there any settings that can prevent this data theft? and are impossible to recover and only recoverable with the verycript?
