I suppose this subject may have come up in the past. I hope there's some sort of a solution or workaround.
One is my primary drive, the other is a backup. Both drives have an OS partition and two data partitions, one encrypted. If I'm not using the secondary SSD for the purpose of backing up data, it is disconnected, thus the primary SSD gets all the work.
To balance the wear and tear, I want to turn the backup SSD into the primary SSD, and vice-versa.
My dilemma is that while they are essentially identical, the encrypted partitions obviously have different drive letters, when they are unmounted and mounted. Everything, all my materials, point to the primary SSD encrypted partition. Is there any way of swapping the drive letters of these? If not, trying to accomplish this will be a mess.
