First, MUCH thanks for the current VeraCrypt, and in advance for its continued support and development.
I couldn't find documentation about == Tools > Volume Expander == in the User Guide. For file containers, are there any known issues, cautions, or limitations?
Thank you.

All information/limitations are indicated on the Expander dialog itself:
* it supports only NTFS volumes
* there must be enough space for the host for the operation to succeed.
* the volume must not contain a hidden volume
There are no know issues as of today.
As with any operation involving handling data in-place, the operation must not be interrupted unexpectedly (for example, power loss or Windows reboot).
One remark: if the file container was created with the option "Dynamic", then after the expand operation, the size on disk of the file will be increased by the extra size indicated in the tool.

I really think VC is a great product. thought I would familiarize you with a problem I just encountered to see what you think.
I tried expanding a volume from 150 to 300 GB. When I left it to continue expanding, about 220 GB was done. When I came back, Expander was not running. The volume shows the full size in the directory, but its formatted size once it is unlocked is back to 150 GB. I found no way to repair it other than to go back into Expander, make it a little larger, and go from there. I had to add a small amount to the volume size, and then Expander started expanding and filling again, at 150 GB. Why not at least recognize that it had done a bunch already?

I want to expand a volume in Veracrypt, but I don't understand what is meant by select a device at that stage. I know exactly what container or volume I want to expand but this part is unclear. In simple languate, after I select the volume I want expanded, what comes next. Is device the C drive which will supply the needed space? Please simplify this for me. ---- Gerald Gibson
