Have you updated your system or macFUSE since the last time it worked? There has been a lot of problems with macFUSE on Sonoma, and the latest Nightly release is testing support for FUSE-T. If you want to try it out, you can find it here under Files, Nightly Builds and macOS. To get it working you'd uninstall macFUSE and install fuse-t from Brew instead.

Hi – I’ve been using Veracrypt for many years. A couple of weeks ago In encountered a problem I’ve not been able to solve.
After I’ve selected a file to decrypt and mount my password, the program endlessly searches for the file without success.
I am using Veracrypt 1.26.7 with Apple Sonoma 14.5 on a MacBook Pro M1.

I agree with Jertzukka, FUSE-T is a very good alternative to MacFUSE especially on Apple Silicon.
For FUSE-T, I would recommend to install it using the official installer from https://www.fuse-t.org/downloads (Brew is more developer oriented).
