Right, so first my apologies as I'm sure there's a thread in here with a suggested fix, but I've not found it.
Not long ago (2 weeks?) I installed Veracrypt and mounted a 10GB volume to the X: drive of my main HDD. Yesterday, when inside the directory within Windows, I clicked a file and Windows began to pseudo-freeze (it moved maybe every 30 seconds), and eventually an error message popped up "COMSurrogate has stopped working" .. The entire computer stopped working - I went to reboot and now am repeatedly met with the BSOD for an Unmountable Boot Volume. I cannot launch any form of safe mode, and after letting the System Repair tool load for hours and be stuck at the floral screen in perpetuity, I'm not sure what the issue is.
I know you guys will want to see logs and such - I've booted Hiren's from a USB and can at least see the HDD from PartedMagic within the Hirens instance. So, any logs I can get from any application there please let me know.
I don't necessarily care about recovering the Veracrypt volume, I was really only playing with it. I do care about the ~400GB of other programs/files/etc., which I cannot access. If I can recover both, great. If not, the Veracrypt volume can go.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and again please let me know what information I can provide to make troubleshooting easier. Thanks in advance.

Hello Griffin,
Since this is a Windows issue, you will get better advice on Windows forums than the VeraCrypt forums for this problem.
Once you are able to boot your OS again, you should be able to mount the volume.
If you are unable to mount the encrypted volume, click on the Mount Options button and enable use backup header embedded.
Kind Regards.
