I use a MacBook with FileVault 2 and the encryption is really nice and smooth and well integrated. But it only uses 128 bit AES and is not open source so no way of knowing if there could be any 'backdoors'.
What I would like to know is, is it possible to use VeraCrypt full disk encryption on top of FileVault 2, so when I turn it on, it asks for my FileVault password then goes on to ask for my VeraCrypt password?
So effectively I will have two layers of encryption, or will this F up my computer or is it not even possible?

VeraCrypt system disk encryption is only available on Windows platform.
