    Hello,

today when I was mounting my encrypted 1TB external drive I was working at Word, and when windows 10 prompted me message about disk not being formatted I was typing which was considered as my acceptation to format.

The I hit ESC, unplugged drive and tried to find some solution to get my data back. I know password off course. I've tried to restore volume headers - with success. Then I can mount my drive using password (I always do it with letter P:\ as Photos) but when I try to open anything at P:\ at windows exploratory or Total Commander i get message that I can't access the drive.

I've read that restoring headers and not overwriting anything can give me a chance to restore my data.

Is there any working method to do that? I've cloned my drive and tried to use some tips from internet (like creating the same size partition with no format and no letter assignment; restoring file with R-studio),

Nothing helped (but also after all these method Im still able to mount my drive)

Any chce to get my data back

Your assumption is correct. But since parts of the VeraCrypt volume were overwritten, the file system within the volume got damaged and cannot be read anymore without further action.

This would've been my advice. But recreating the partition should not be necessary, as the partition was not deleted in the first place. At least that's what I'm reading between the lines. It should be enough to mark the partition as raw without reformatting.

If you're lucky enough, you will be able to retrieve a portion of undamaged data. But there are no guarantees. At least, you should try out several data rescue tools.

    Good luck!

    Greet
