What exactly does Wipe Mode do while encrypting the System drive? I was a bit confuse with the information that was provided. Does it perform the wipe ONLY during the encryption of the System drive? Or is it an on going process that CONTINUOUSLY wipe files during Windows usage?
I googled this but still did not get a clean understanding of this.

My understanding is that it is used only during the initial encryption. It's purpose is to remove all unecrypted data from the drive. Once the drive is fully encrypted, if you delete something and the data is not wiped, it is possible to retreive it, but it will be encrypted anyway. So there is no need to wipe anything once everything is encrypted.

Thank you for your reply Asator.
This option is also present in the Change Password dialog of a volume. If it was only in creating the volume, why would it be present here?
