After a fresh boot of Windows 10 Home I can mount My VeraCrypt file and access the virtual drive. If I unmount the virtual drive and close VeraCrypt every thing appears to work okay. If I try to eject the physical driver (a USB thumb driver) , I am told that the drive is in use. If I force an eject with a continue and then remove an reinstall the USB thumb drive and start VeraCrypt I get the wWinMain:9463 and told to restart my computer. I should not need to reboot each time I stop using and restart VeraCrypt.

Hello Jim,
Try to add the VeraCrypt folder to the exclude list of your antivirus. It helped in my case, hope it helps you too.
