Per Veracrypt FAQ and various forum posts, there is the possibility to access an encrypted volume over the network, but caution is advised due to possibility of corruption. It is recommended to only mount read-only from the client and not read/write if multiple clients will be accessing the encrypted volume.
In a hypothetical scenario where only one user will require access to the drive over the network, but using multiple devices, can anyone in the community weigh in on the potential corruption risk here?
I have a thought to keep everything on a VM (the client access and encryption) accessible to network over RDP as a potential alternative (negating the network corruption possibility) but that is a different environment.
Thanks.
