Hi I have a problem, I have two computers and a USB drive (with an encrypted drive in a file on it) and whichever computer I work on I mount the encrypted file as another drive.

One computer was Windows 8.1 Pro and the other Windows 8.1 Home and both worked fine with veracrypt.

Both are now updated so I now have Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 Home and I have a problem.

My Windows 10 Pro computer is perfectly fine but my Windows 10 Home computer cannot mount the veracrypt drive properly, it accepts the password but the drive appears in explorer with no size information and when I try to access it I get an error "Incorrect Function".

Originally both PCs were using v1.0f-1, in trying to resolve this problem I have upgraded my windows 10 home pc to 1.13 but am still having the same issue.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

There was a similar report on Codeplex and the it was discovered that the issue was caused by Apple Bootcamp drivers installed on Windows 10: https://veracrypt.codeplex.com/workitem/177#CommentContainer22

Thus, either you are using Apple faulty drivers on your Windows 10 Home or you have installed other drivers ou tools are are blocking VeraCrypt driver calls. In all cases, this doesn't come from VeraCrypt but from an external componenet running on the Windows 10 Home machine.

Many thanks for this, it is exactly the problem I was having.

As I don't need to use the Apple HFS driver I simply followed the instructions in the link you provided and my encrypted volume now mounts on both my computers.

    Very happy :)
