Hi, I wrote about this piggybacking another thread, but that issue might've been different.
Here's what happened:
I decrypted a system drive that had been successfully encrypted for months, because Windows Refresh wouldn't work when it was encrypted.
After Refreshing Windows, I attempted to encrypt the same drive.
During the testing phase (right after creating a rescue disk), the system became unusable. I enter the correct password, it says, 'Success' but never proceeds to boot Windows. Escaping results in the message, 'Cannot find windows boot loader'.
The rescue disk doesn't work, probably because the drive was not encrypted yet.
So, the drive is unencrypted but inaccessible. My laptop is not user-serviceable, so I cannot access and replace the SSD easily.
Is there a way to fix this? Thanks.
