Veracrypt on encrypted Windows 10 drive?

Window 10 Home edition doesn't have Bitlocker, only "device encryption" and it is turned on by default.

Is this encryption sufficient? If not, can I encrypt the drive with VeraCrypt while W10 home "device encryption" is on or can it (should it) be turned off somewhere?

You cannot use VeraCrypt system encryption when using system encryption from Microsoft BitLocker.

In general, avoid encrypting using more than one encryption software on any drive.
