Hi! I want to create a multi OS'es USB flash drive and encrypt the whole drive before boot selection with VeraCrypt.
1 - Encrypt the whole 128GB USB 3.0 flash drive with VeraCrypt so i can enter password before booting the multiples OSes installed on the drive : https://www.veracrypt.fr/en/Home.html
5 - Create a VeraCrypt partition for files within the pre-boot whole flash drive encrypted VeraCrypt partition.
Is it viable in this day and age ? Or still the same limitations and need to install OSes unencrypted with only a crypted partition folder for files if i am not using hardware encryption (ex: Apricorn USB flash drive) ?
Thank you ! Just exploring to learn and to create the ultimate CipherPunk thumb drive that will fit in the confort of my key ring while discovering.

Although VeraCrypt can be used under Linux to mount encrypted volumes, it is currently not possible to encrypt the whole Linux system with VeraCrypt (System encryption is only supported on Windows). So, the proposed setup where VeraCrypt bootloader would unlock multiple unix liked OS is not possible.
The closest thing you can do is to encrypt each OS using its builtin system encryption facility and then use a bootloader like Grub to boot each one of them separately. You can use VeraCrypt from within any of these OS to mout an encrypted partition that is outside of these OSes.
