So I have two encrypted system partitions, each on their own SSD, connected to my computer and each running Windows 11. Basically when trying to decrypt using the VeraCrypt rescue disk I get a "Read error: Invalid Parameter" error message. I'll be extensive on what happend and what I've tried to be proactive in preventing unnecessary questions. Chronological steps that led to the issue and what I've tried:
My computer automatically booted the SSD that I normally use (we'll call SSD "A") without issue. The VeraCrypt bootloader would appear when I turn on the computer, I'd enter my password and drive A would load Windows normally. I was trying to figure out if I could change the boot order in the HP BIOS so that SSD "B" would load instead. After trying to load each of the OS options in the bootloader (there were several VeraCrypt boot options) which resulted only in drive A loading, I went into a section in the boot order launcher called "Boot From EFI File." I selected one of the files which launched (I don't remember if I had to input my VeraCrypt password) and then Windows immediately began a file recovery process as it was unable to load.
I hard booted the computer while it was trying the file recovery process.
When turning on the computer, with either drive A and B connected (and I tried switching A and B into each of the two NVMe interface options) OR both drives connected at the same time (and I again tried switching A and B into each of the two NVMe interface options) the HP bios do not recognize the drive and I get an error message saying "Boot Device Not Found - Please install an operating system on your hard disk - Hard Disk - (3F0)."
I booted the computer from a Windows To Go 11 flash drive, ran VeraCrypt portable and the VeraCrypt GUI does not list either drive A or B. It doesn't exist. Windows file explorer again doesn't list drive A or B. Disk management doesn't either.
I booted a VeraCrypt rescue disk specifically made for drive A (it may or may not be an older version rescue disk, password may have been changed since I saved it) with drive A only connected which says is version 1.24-Update2. I tried all options and got the following errors/results:
d) Decrypt OS
I entered password and no PIM. After thinking for a few seconds, it says
"0 (50C41A98) : PciRoot (0x0)/Pci(0x14, 0x0)/USB(0x10, 0x0) Success
Start 290455552 length 510907121664
VolumeSize 510907121664
HiddenVolumeSize 0
flags 0x1
Decrypt?"
The volume size indicates it has found the volume of correct size (512 GB). The password seems to be correct as if I enter the wrong password it says
"Authorization failed. Wrong password, PIM or hash. Decrypt error(3)"
I then hit "Y" instead when at the step above asking to "Decrypt?" and enter and the response is
"Read error: Invalid Parameter"
r for retry results in the same "Read error: Invalid Parameter" over and over
i for ignore results in "Write error: Invalid Parameter"
pressing i for ignore AGAIN results in "Read error: Invalid ParameterKB/s(ETA: 223401m)" and freezes
pressing i for ignore AGAIN results in "Write error: Invalid Parameter"
pressing i for ignore AGAIN results in a cycle starting again with "Read error: Invalid ParameterKB/s(ETA: 17001m)"
I hit "a" for abort and it cycles back to the original menu with options d,m,z,c,k,r,v,o,h,e
m) Restore VeraCrypt loader to boot menu
results in error saying "Not Ready" and cycles back to the original menu with options d,m,z,c,k,r,v,o,h,e
z) Remove VeraCrypt loader from boot menu
No message and cycles back to the original menu with options d,m,z,c,k,r,v,o,h,e
c)Restore VeraCrypt loader configuration to system disk
results in error saying "Not Ready" and cycles back to the original menu with options d,m,z,c,k,r,v,o,h,e
k) Restore OS header keys
I entered password and no PIM. After thinking for a few seconds, it says
"0 (50C41A98) : PciRoot (0x0)/Pci(0x14, 0x0)/USB(0x10, 0x0) [999] Select disk:"
I enter "0" and enter
It says "Restore?"
I enter "Y" and enter
No message and cycles back to the original menu with options d,m,z,c,k,r,v,o,h,e
r) Restore VeraCrypt loader binaries to system disk
results in error saying "Not Ready" and cycles back to the original menu with options d,m,z,c,k,r,v,o,h,e
v) Boot VeraCrypt loader from rescue disk
results in error saying "Not Ready" and cycles back to the original menu with options d,m,z,c,k,r,v,o,h,e
o) Boot Original Windows Loader
It says
"If Windows is encrypted, Windows original loader will fail to start. Do you want to continue? [N]"
I enter "Y" and hit enter
results in error saying "Not Ready" and cycles back to the original menu with options d,m,z,c,k,r,v,o,h,e
After rebooting the computer, I still get the same BIOS error message saying "Boot Device Not Found - Please install an operating system on your hard disk - Hard Disk - (3F0)." The system disk still does not appear in the Windows VeraCrypt GUI, in disk management or in file explorer still. The system disk does not appear in the HP BIOS boot manager as the only option to boot is my rescue disk called "USB Hard Drive(UEFI) - USB." If I go back into "Boot From EFI File" there are no EFI files listed still.
I simply would like to be able to access the files on the drive by any means necessary, preferably with Windows loading up and functioning normally. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks and Happy Holidays.

Still unsolved. Help would be much appreciated.
