    Hello everyone,

unfortunately i have a big problem since yesterday (again), last was in february 2020, same issuee. Since yesterday i have the automatic repair boot loop problem. I tried already some things to fixing. When i try to start, i get blue screen: NTS FILE SYSTEM ERROR.

Its a complete System partitionen crypted volume :.

    Maschine: HP FOLIO 9740M
    SecureBoot: OFF

1.) First i have booted from WinPE. Then i tried this tutorial from Skipper.
    https://sourceforge.net/p/veracrypt/discussion/technical/thread/f403d1d8/?page=0
DONT WORKS. On Step 2 where he said: “mountvol o: /s” and hit enter" i get "Directoy not exist".

2.) I booted into WindowsPE and tried to edit the bootloader from the command line
bcdedit /set {bootmgr} path \EFI\VERACRYPT\DCSBOOT.EFI) like this tutorial:
    https://rclaussen.de/veracrypt-boot-problems-after-windows-10-update-solved/
DONT WORKS. Same problem when i restart.

3.) I tried to mount the volume in WinPE in VeraCrypt without PreBootAuthentication. The Passwort + Pim works. The Volume mounted, but i cant open it on windows. Dont shows on Workspace / dont get access there to copy files on extern HDD for backup.

4.) I tried to edit the Boot entries management on BOOTICE, but there it shows "Only available in UEFI enviroments.

5.) I have tried with bootable Windows USB also the Start up Repair.
    It ends in: Protocoll: E:\Windows\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt

Anyone have an idea for me?

    Kind regards

EDIT: I can boot from rescue disk, but needs 5 days to decrypt..... when i try to restore the veracrypt bootloader from rescue disk i get NTFS SYSTEM ERROR bluescreen again.

EDIT 2: At the moment i have 2 USB Sticks on my laptop. 1 with the VeraCrypt Rescue Disk_120B2.zip from here and the other one has my rescue disk. When i start with F9, i can choose Vera Crypt rescue Disk 1.20-BETA2 and then i get a menu. At the moment it shows 1% 987766651s 987766651s 7MB/s (ETA: 1103m). I hope the decrypten will finish tomorrow).

    Hi Klaus,

The error NTFS FILE SYSTEM ERROR looks new to me. It is different from usual boot error caused by reset of bootloader in BIOS and which are solved by restoring VeraCrypt bootloader in the bootloader manager.

I would have suggested you to boot on a Linux Live USB and from there mount the encrypted system disk using VeraCrypt on Linux. You did the same using WinPE but you couldn't access the data, which is strange , so doing the same from Linux would have told us if the issue is on the system disk itself (for example disk failure) or just WinPE.

Now you started decrypt so there is not much we can do. Important this is to be sure that you are using the correct rescue disk.
As I said above, the NTFS FILESYSTEM ERROR is special and for me it is possible that you are affected by a disk failure.

      Hello Mounir,

      Not successfull :(

      Please see picture: ![]https://www1.xup.in/exec/ximg.php?fid=21103068)

I startet with :d (Decrypt OS).
      I entererd Passwortd and PIM.

I did not understand why it showed (B4AE968) / Authorization failed. Wrong passwort. PIM or hash. Decrypt Error.

After that it showed (B4BF9918) Success and startet to decrypt.

      Today (After 18 hours)

      I get "Not ready"

Do you know whats the Problem here?
How can verify i have the correct rescue USB for this Volume before i start Decrypt OS here to prevent to this to happen again?

Regarding this NTFS Error. I got this after my system was in reboot and system was checked by windows, so not update error. If you say this is disk failure, how can i proceed there?

I hope you some ideas for me please.

addendum: Now when i try to mount the volume in WinPE VeraCrypt. VeraCrypt says: Error. The CryptingProcess is not finished. The Process must be finished first. So i cant mount the volume anymore. Before i could mound it, but dont access on Workplace.

addendum: Sorry mounir. New Info. I have expanded the SSD and added it to my other laptop. There the SSD is recovered directly, with entcryption. So the decryption process from before was positive. My problem is now: How i get this SSD to run on the laptop where it originally belongs to, because when i add it to the original laptop back i have 2 options. 1.) I can press escape, but then i got bluescreen "inaccessible boot device". 2.) I can put my VC pw + PIN. Then it goes back to automatic repair and fails :.

addendum: I can see there is the original system loader in VeraCrypt Program Data Folder. Dont know if this Information is helpful.

addendum: What very strange is now. I put the decrypted SSD on my laptop, it opens i can see it. I do this while Using WinPE. When i open VeraCrypt i can also mount the (decrypted SSD!) with my Pw + PIM??????
