I have a Lenovo Z580 with 1Tb hard disk. I also have Veracrypt on an external 4Tb usb disk. When I try to create something on my laptop disk it has changed to read only. The external drive has no problem with VC. This worked correctly until a few days ago. I have checked the propaties for the container and it says read-only: no. I tried logging onto this container in terminal with sudo veracrypt, but get the same result. I have looked through google and on this forum but can't find anything that is the same as this problem although some approximate it. If anyone has an answer to this I would be grateful. As an aside I live in the Philippines and we had a rare blackout for a few hours while my macjine was running. I have no battery currently. This may havbe been the trigger.
