What does this error message mean?
The operating system is not installed in the first active partition?
That's not true (see screenshot 2).
Does that mean that the boot flag is not set for this partition?
The second partition was created automatically by Windows Setup. This is where the files are stored that can be found under /boot in a Linux system, i.e. the kernel etc., which, as is well known, are in a file called boot.win etc. in Windows.
On the 3rd partition is a Linux installed, which I want to use as a "decoy OS ".
It is a pure MBR installation, so I don't have a GPT partition (with UEFI Secure Boot).
How can I set up a hidden operating system on this system (without reinstalling)?
Or is this not possible at all?
Hello,
I would like to encrypt my operating system in a hidden partition, but I get the following error message (see screenshot 1).
VeraCrypt::BootEncryption::GetPartitionForHiddenOS:1164
