Suddenly "Access denied by operating system"

I am suddenly unable to mount anything. Yesterday everything was working fine and now when I try to mount a container or a device I get the "Access denied by operating system", even though I didn't change anything anywhere.
The problem happened exactly after I mounted the containers inside of a flash drive in order to backup my files, after I unmounted the flashdrive, I was unable to mount the containers on my C drive. Even the harddrive is unmountable, giving me the same permission error. And yes, I hold the administrator account.
Every google result for this problem is for people trying to mount drives from other computers, which is not the case here. Does anyone know what's causing this? Why am I suddenly getting a permission error?

Played with folder settings a bunch and after restarting everything works. No idea what happened.
