    Hello

Jag have forgotten my password to my HDD encrypted with VeraCrypt. I know the last letters but I don't know the first letters. Example below:

    M*M*password

As you can see I know some of the letters. Those letters with "*" is special letters and regular I don't know. Is there a program that can handle my issue and bruteforce my password or if there anyone that can make a script? I really need to crack this because I have alot of important content in that HDD.

    Thanks in advance

200k rounds of hashing at the beginning prevents from such brute force tricks. This initial delay is caused by complexity of password processing. 100 computers will not be enough to brute force a simple password.

Look I dont know if it is possible to share this information here and since I need some help from this forum with a problem with VC encryption I will be a bit vage because I dont want to be kick out of this forum, so I will point you in to the right direction:

1: You need to know many letters or the password needs to be small for you to crack it.
2: You need to know a bit about linux and how to use a program call crunch (google it)
3: Once you created the pass list you can use hashcat or others.

Last if you havent tourn off the pc, or if you were a bit careless about the way you use your VC encypted drive or volume, you can actually use elcomsoft (google) to extract the password or crack it from diferents sources.
