After many hours of research in an area far beyond my skill level, I am hoping someone can tell me the best installation approach to protect (PDF & Word) documents using the setup described in the subject line. I work almost exclusively in Windows and my goal, if possible, is to move all documents into an encrypted volume (presumably in OS X as the host operating system) which can then be shared through Parallels into my Windows/Microsoft applications running in the virtual machine. My goal is to protect the documents from hackers, and I am not interested in plausible deniability or hidden volumes.
When I tried created and mounted a Veracrypt file container/volume in OS X, I could not open it in Windows without downloading Veracrypt for Windows and mounting the same volume in the Windows virtual machine.
Can anyone recommend an approach that provides more transparency between the Windows and OS X environments (as Parallels does for other applications) to:
(1) avoid duplicating the mounting process in both operating systems; and
(2) permit a one-way sharing of documents (presumably from a Veracrypt volume in OS X as the host operating system to Windows as the virtual machine environment) which, I believe, would allow encrypting all document files in a single operating system (and avoiding unencrypted files in the other operating system).
I would really appreciate any help as I am in over my head.
Thanks in advance.
