This is with respect to VeraCrypt File Container using Password only.
The container creation process only requires 1) a Password and 2) Randomness generated by mouse movement. My understanding, which is incomplete, is that the Password + Randomness is used to somehow generate the encryption key. What I don't understand is that where does this key get stored? As it is needed to mount the container and also to encrypt/decrypt any data added to the container. So, basically I am not sure what the role of password is in this process. I tried going through the FAQ and also the documentation but didn't have much luck.
