In the middle of looking through files on a mounted drive, the files stopped being able to be opened and Windows prompted an error that states: "Location is not available; X is not accessible; the device is not ready" When I attempted to dismount the drive to restart my computer, VeraCrypt sent a warning message stating applications were still in use. After looking through task manager and attempting to end as many tasks as possible, VeraCrypt repeatedly sent the same warning message. I scanned the hard drive for errors and there were no issues. How should I proceed?

Is the drive on which the files are stored an external portable drive?
Is the drive formatted NTFS, and was NTFS used when setting up the encryption?
