I installed Veracrypt on my new Windows 10 computer a few weeks ago because the new computer would not support Bit Locker. I set up the new computer to partition the V:\ drive for encryption and used it successfully and often with no issues over the past few weeks.

This morning, however, I turned on my computer and Windows said "Let's finish setting up your computer," with only a couple of prompts - to use Microsoft Edge (which I denied) and to use One Drive (which I denied). When I was then at my desktop, the V:\ location was suddenly "unavailable," with no files openable, though recent ones are still listed on the file explorer. I can right click these files, but very few options are available, and none apply to this situation.

After trying various fixes on the internet, I called Microsoft and they refused to help me once I mentioned Veracrypt, saying it was a third-party app problem. Also, when I open Veracrypt, it looks like it did the first time I opened it, with no volumes listed as being used anywhere.

Can anyone help me? Thank you!!

What happens if you try to mount your volume? Any error messages?

Thank you for your reply!  After about 5 hours of trying different things, I was able to get it back.  I had to reset my computer to the previous day, before Microsoft added Windows Module Installer without my knowing it.  Once that was removed, I was able to find the volume and get it to work again.  I've since moved all my files to Google Drive and simply won't use Veracrypt anymore.  Thanks, again, for trying to help.
