I am having feature issues with PKCS#11 library files I am trying to use with VeraCrypt keyfiles, a YubiKey 5NFC, and Windows 10.
VeraCrypt keyfiles work fine with Dr. Peter Koch's OpenPGP11_64.dll (WARNING my browser warns against this site: http://smartcard-auth.de/download-en.html) but my specific library (downloaded in 2019) doesn't accept different YubiKey PINs (it only allows the Yubico default PIN). I've considered downloading another copy, but my browser and malware program warn against this.
opensc_pkcs11.dll (from https://www.dll-files.com/opensc_pkcs11.dll.html ) permits changing the YubiKey PIN but does not allow VeraCrypt to import the VeraCrypt-generated keyfile to the token ("Security token error: FUNCTION NOT SUPPORTED"). Screenshot is attached.
I've found 2 posts of people who experienced similar problems (inability to import a keyfile to a YubiKey), but the PKCS#11 libraries they used were different. Further, the comments in those posts focused on the YubiKey. In my case, I succeed with one PKCS#11 library but not another.
Can anyone recommend a PKCS#11 dll library that works? Or, is there is a way to use the opensc_pkcs11.dll library successfully? Either way, I would be glad to know it.
