I encrypted an entire physical drive as a container, (non-bootable drive under Windows 7).

I lost the primary boot disk, reinstalled another and put a new copy of Windows 7 on it. However, the new boot disk cannot see the data disk at all (the encrypted volume). I cannot mount the container, getting an error about password or other reasons.

I used a program to recover all the files from the invisible HDD to a folder. So I have 146GB of .GZ encrypted files. How do I get VeraCrypt to decrypt them?

It only operates based on containers. How do I create a container it can operate on?

Also, I tried to use the recovery disk to decrypt, it ran for a really long time (such as 15 hours) but in the end, did not do anything and apparently did not decrypt anything.
