Hi, I have bought a new Laptop/Concertible (Lenovo Miix 700) some time ago. Now I want to encrypt the hole system. But I'm not sure if it is possible to enter the password during start up. Can i use a OnScreen Keyboard for Boot password? Can I test the boot login before actually encrypt the disk?
Could not find a good answer up to date, so if someone can provide a link or has the answer it would be nice.
greetings
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
There is on screen picture password in DCS. DcsPkg is EFI loader for Veracrypt.it was written year ago. Mounir Idrassi tried the loader(with other platforms) and included to VeraCrypt.
Possibility of installation depends on EFI features implemented by manufacture(in your case - Lenovo). Check PlatformInfo, It has to contain TouchScreen services. On my old fujitsu t732 picture password works normal.
There's a youtube video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIVfPIbzu7Q
but it looks like the PIM isn't supported. Does that video reflect the current state of the art in veracrypt for touch login at boot?
