So you see all these posts around with people with very fancy techniques of getting veracrypt to work on HP/ASUS laptop... "turn off this, turn off that". And then you go try and uhhh oh it still doesn't work?
Sure.. it might work for some. But the fix is actually beyond simple.
All i did to fix this issue was reinstall windows on a usb with rufus using MBR partition instead of GPT and WALAAHHH... install veracrypt and i even have the option to do hidden OS and other options that were grayed out for me with a GPT windows installation.
Now.. Forgive me if im dumb but. I dont know the difference between GPT and MBR but i do know that veracrypt works perfect with MBR... literally zero issues. So if veracrypt is your prirority. Reinstall with MBR. It wont fail i promise...
NOTE: i disabled secure boot also (not sure if it actually helps or not)
