I'd like to encrypt my system drive. My machine has Windows 10 freshly installed and I'm running VeraCrypt 1.19. Unfortunately the option "Encrypt the whole drive" (like the option "Hidden" in the previous step) is greyed out.
First I thought, that the EFI partition was the problem, but based on the forum entries I found this problem has been solved since 1.18. When I tried to encrypt the Windows system partition instead and had the test run, it seems like the VeraCrypt boot loader was ignored in favor of the Windows boot loader and I got the warning that VeraCrypt only supports whole drive encryption for operating systems with a separate booting partition (like Windows).
What should I do?
Best,
Daniel
