    Hello there,

Recently, I'm getting "page fault in nonpaged area" BSODs when executing some applications in VeraCrypt partitions. I use the latest version (1.24, update 7, 64-bit).

It could be a coincidence, but about a week ago I updated my Windows 10 to the 2004 version. It happens consistently: whenever I open these specific software, Windows crashes. Any troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated.

I've also seen an open ticket here which reports the same problem, but it says that when the partition is open with TrueCrypt, it works. My partitions are converted to Veracrypt, since I had to expand them, but if someone knows how to convert them back to TrueCrypt to circunvent/test the issue, I'd be grateful.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Do you have a way to test the same applications using a newly encrypted partition with VeraCrypt? This will help check if the issue is specific to this partition or if it is more general.

Also, is it possible for your to use your applications in Windows safe mode? If yes, then can you please boot Windows in safe mode and execute your application in order to see if the BSOD still occur or not. This will help check if the BSOD is linked to only an issue in VeraCrypt driver or if it is caused by an interactions of other components on the system.

Concerning the past TrueCrypt nature of the partition, this would surprise me if it was the cause but indeed there was a report in the past about a similar issue and I was never able to reproduce it nor understand its cause. This is frustrating since analyzing such issues requires performing debugging or at least getting a memory dump using a debug version of VeraCrypt.
In this context, is it possible for you to share the memory dump created by this BSOD? You can send me a private message if this is ok for you.
