Using Veracrypt 1.23 Hotfix 2 on Windows 10 Pro; today Veracrypt won't accept my passwords for an encrypted volume. Here's how it went down:
Created an encrypted hidden volume using an empty external hard drive (using 1.23 Hotfix 2). Selected the option to create 2 volumes, one with a password I could give away, and a second hidden one. The operation was completed without issue.
Copied files to the hidden volume.
Dismounted, safely ejected, and put HD away.
Today, reconnected the HD, made sure that Windows didn't assign a volume letter (it shows up in disk manager without a letter).
Loaded Veracrypt 1.23 Hotfix 2 and selected volume.
Input password with the display password enabled; Neither of the 2 passwords work. I know for a fact they're correct; I've even tried copy-pasting them into the password entry field.
I tried mounting as read only to no avail. I tried mounting with the backup header enabled to no avail.
Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated. At this point, I'm guessing I'm pretty much screwed, but I'm hanging onto a thread of hope that there's something else I can do.
