Hi, I'm currently experiencing two problems with a VC hidden OS.
Previously I ran a TC 7.1 hidden OS behind an unencrypted OS partition by booting directly from the TC recovery USB disk.
Problem 1
I have upgraded to a M2 drive and successfully created a VC hidden OS (MBR) with unencrypted decoy. However, I can no longer boot into the hidden OS directly from the VC rescue disk and must instead write the VC bootloader to the drive in order to boot into the hidden OS (and restore original loader to maintain plausible deniability). Is this to do with differences between VC and TC or something to do with it being a M2 drive? Set-up is otherwise the same.
Problem 2
In order to write the VC bootloader to the drive I must disconnect any other drives. If I don't, when booting from the USB, I get a message that a bootable partition cannot be found. Once the VC bootloader is written, I can boot with other drives connected. I believe that this is because Sata drives are read before M2 drives in the BIOS and there is no way of changing this - is this correct? ie VC will only write/restore bootloader to drive0 which is always a Sata drive.
Can anyone help with either of these problems? Only workaround I can see is upgrading mobo to allow second M2 slot for storage (!) or reverting to OS on Sata. Don't want to revert to TC! Thanks.
