Finder window not showing after mounting Veracrypt/AFPS volume (macOS)

After opening/mounting a new Veracrypt volume (AFPS file system) no Finder window appears although this is specificed in Preferences (System Integration tab). I have to open the volume manually via Finder before any other app can access the volume successfully.

Is this a bug or should I change something? I'm running the latest Veracrypt version (1.24 update 4) on MacOS 10.14.6 (Mojave) with the latest security patches applied. I also use the latest stable FUSE version (3.10.4)
