I installed Veracrypt last night. Regular volume. Not a volume within a volume. All went well. I put a lot of sensitive and crucial files into the drive. This morning it was fine. This evening, after returning home, I woke up my PC and now the drive I created is gone from windows explorer.
Running Windows 10 Pro.
Any suggestions? To say that I regret installing this is currently an understatement since the files I placed in that mounted drive do not exist anywhere else so it looks like I have lost them for good.

Solved..whew! Opened Veracrypt, and repeated the process of mounting the drive using the hc file.
