Veracrypt dismounted the volume. Now when I try to mount to that container, it says location is not available. Help appreciated.

I installed Vera crypt yesterday so I'm not super sure how to use it. Everything I've looked up hasn't helped.

So all was working yesterday. I got my files protected, and all was good. And like normally, I turned off my computer before calling it quits. This was a encypted partition in my D: drive. I'm using Windows 10 x64. Today, I'm trying re-access that container and I opened veracrypt and I saw that it dismounted. I clicked the volume I had before Z: and I tried to select the file I wanted to use and it says:

    "Location is not available
Z:\Files is unavailable. If the location is on this PC, make sure the device or drive is connected or the disc is inserted, then try again. If the location is on a network, make sure you're connected to the network or Internet, then try again. If the location still can't be found, it might've been moved or deleted."

Anyone know how to fix this? I know my password and everything but I just worry that my container got deleted and isn't accessible again. Was I supposed to dismount it manually before shutting off my computer? Anyways all help is appreciated since this container has some personal files that I already deleted from the rest of my computer. If you need me to answer any more questions I'm here. Thanks guys!

nevermind, i figured it out. I kept selecting Z:\Files in my quick access istead of going to the file in my desktop that I put the encryption on.
