What is the maximum disk size VC can support? I have created a 3TB container on an external (USB) 3TB disk but when i try to write more than ~2.6 GB, i get a message saying "The requested operation could not be completed due to a file system limitation". The host disk is NTFS, so is the container (no hidden volume). I have VC 1.26.24 but the disk was created with 1.25.9.

I have more info on this. IIRC, i had created the disk using either Quick Format or Fast Create option (probably the 2nd). I have now discovered that the host disk is reportedly 3.000.591.446.016 bytes, the veracrypt file is reportedly 3.000.391.014.400 bytes but the disk also has 398.102.466.560 bytes free!
Inside the encrypted disk, the free size is 381.412.470.784 bytes out of 3.000.390.750.208. All disks (both host and encrypted) are formatted as NTFS.
From what i understand, the host drive may report the full size of the VC file but the actually allocated size may be less (hence the ~370GB free space) because the file had probably been created using Fast Create, but it seems that something is wrong there. Why does this message appear ("The requested operation could not be completed due to a file system limitation")? It seems like a VC issue. Something may have gone wrong in the file creation...
PS: disk (mechanical) has no bad sectors and everything in Smart looks fine.

For anyone interested, after searching around for several days i reached the conclusion that the underlying file system had somehow become corrupted, so i backed-up everything i could and recreated the disk. I'm still not sure how it happened though (if it was caused by VC or not).
