I encrypted a drive in Windows. I then installed VeraCrypt ( VeraCrypt_Legacy_1.24-Update8.dmg with macFUSE 4.1.0) on an older Mac running High Sierra. When I tried to plug the drive into my Mac and mount it, I got the following message after entering my password:
Auto-mount failed due to one or more of the following:
incorrect password
incorrect volume PIM number
incorrect PRF (hash)
no valid volume found
The password is definitely correct and all settings were set to default. The drive was formatted as NTFS but I've been using Paragon to use NTFS drives on my Mac for years without issue.
Any ideas as to what's going on and how I can resolve this problem?
