Hi! I have installed veracrypt and chose to format whole windows partition in multiboot mode. I set a password, get veracrypt rescue disk and reboot the machine. I gues windows try to install something (windows update) and computer reboot.

Now I choose windows in my multiboot menu, type veracrypt password and windows start - but it says the upgrade is wrong, and automatically took back all the update changes. So when I choose windows in multiboot again and type the same password, veracrypt says it is wrong... - pass/pim/hash is wrong (but it is impossible).

Also under linux I can see windows partitions - it means that veracrypt does NOT encrypt the windows partitions. So I guess the installation of veracrypt encrypted partition was broken. Is there chance to remove veracrypt ? And start it again?

    Thanks for any input.

Your system is not encrypted yet since the issue happened during Pre-Test step. So you can just press ESC when VeraCrypt password prompt is displayed and it will take you to Windows.
    Did you try this?
Once in Windows, cancel VeraCrypt encryption process, resume Windows Upgrade and once finished you can start VeraCrypt system encryption process.

As to why the issue happened, I think it is because Windows upgrade process was using VeraCrypt driver as Reflection driver because it think the system is encrypted but actually it is not yet encrypted since we were in the Pre-Test step that checks if the system is compatible.

So starting system encryption wizard should be done only if there are no pending Windows Upgrade to avoid such conflict. Ideally we should detect this on our side or find a way to avoid that Windows Upgrade happens in the middle of the encryption process. Not easy in all cases. Luckily such "bad timing" seems to be rare.

@Mounir IDRASSI Thanks for help! Problem was solved (hitting ESC did the trick) - as I read here https://sourceforge.net/p/veracrypt/discussion/technical/thread/c751e0237f/ (https://sourceforge.net/p/veracrypt/discussion/technical/thread/c751e0237f/#eb3b) "So starting system encryption wizard should be done only if there are no pending Windows Upgrade to avoid such conflict." this should be noted somewhere in VeraCrypt - when trying to encrypt the drive/partiton.
