Hello, i have encrypted my System Partition with VeraCrypt (AES), no issues. Then i encrypted a external Harddrive (in place encryption, AES). The harddrive is one of the big "WD My Book Duo" typs that has 2 Hdds inside that work together as a raid for increased transfere rates with USB 3.0.
I am getting 7 to 8 Mb/sec. write rates after encryption copying from the system partition which is a fast ssd. Is that normal?
Before encryption it was at least 10x as fast and my system has Hardware AES support. The veracrypt benchmark is in the attachment.
My System is
CPU: Core i7-8700K @3,7GHz
Ram: 32 GB
Systemdrive: Samsung SSD 960 PRO 512GB
External Drive: WD My Book Duo 16TB
