Are mounted VeraCrypt containers sensitive to the shell crashing?

Hi!

Lately, Microsoft Edge has had the habit of crashing the shell
(explorer.exe, faulting module name twinui.pcshell.dll) when Edge is
closed. I have had a VeraCrypt container mounted while that has happened.

Can this kind of crash cause any corruption or other harm to the VeraCrypt
container? How well are these things separated from each other?

It just creeped me out a little bit, so I wanted to ask if is this anything
to worry about?
