I've just upgraded from a very old version to v1.24 Hotfix (Linux).
In the old version, only mounting the first drive would ask for the administrator password, dismounting was always possible without. Now, VC keeps asking admin password for every single drive (i.e. Dismount All will ask password for every single mounted drive). Is this a bug?

This has been fixed and new .deb and .rpm packages for 1.24-Hotfix2-Preview with the fix have been published November 3rd at Nightly Builds folder.
The official release for 1.24-Hotfix2 is expected to come soon but there are some points to manage before that.

I had the same problems (i use 2 containers) as described above in the first post, under Ubuntu 18.04. The workaround with the terminal given here did not work for me.
I have now tried the current version veracrypt_1.24-Update2-0vanir1~18.04_amd64.deb. The behaviour is still the same (except dismount asks only once for admin password), nothing has changed.
Therefore I am back to the version veracrypt_1.24-0vanir1~18.04_amd64.deb. For mounting both containers only once the password (not admin). For dismount nothing is necessary.

I have already answer a similar report here : https://sourceforge.net/p/veracrypt/discussion/general/thread/b738c75977/?limit=25&page=2#0ece
Basically this is a bug that doesn't happen everwhere and a temporary workaround is to launch VeraCrypt from Terminal.
Which Linux destribution are you using?
Does running VeraCrypt from Terminal fixes the issue for you?
Thank you, Mounir. Starting VC from terminal solves the problem.
I'm running Linux Mint 19.2.

Thank you, it works fine for me now
